renal failure and medium chain triglycerides

I am a nutrition fellow from New Zealand. Can anyone provide any comment on whether or not the use of medium chain triglycerides could be of benefit in renal failure? From a biochemical viewpoint I can see merit in their use and there is a little on pubmed suggesting they may be beneficial but I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who has clinical experience or has researched this area already.
PLEASE no one reply with 'saturated fats are no good...'  in 2011 we are now well beyond classifying all saturated fats as the same.
